Hamida Kristoffersen
Hamida took her Bachelor- and Master Degree at the University of Tromsø, with vocal professors Anne- Lise Sollied Allemano and Carlo Allemano. She has also worked a lot with Njål Sparbo and Patricia McCaffrey. She was in the semifinals in the Belvedere singing competition in June 2013, and was one of the five finalists in The Queen Sonja International Music Competition in August the same year, where she was granted the Ingrid Bjoner scholarship and the prize for best performance of Norwegian music.
In 2014 Hamida sang in Oslo Concert Hall at two occations, one with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and one with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra During summer 2014 Hamida participated in European Opera Centre and Liverpool
Philharmonic’s production of Cosí fan tutte as Despina, and also took part of the Ravinia Festival’s program for singers in Chicago. In 2014, Hamida joined the Opera Studio at the Zürich Opera House, where she, as the cover of Pamina, did a performance of Zauberflöte.
At the Zürich opera Hamida has also done roles as Tamiri in Mozarts Il re pastore, Laura in Verdis Luisa Miller and Hüter die Schwelle/Stimme des Falkens in Strauss Die Frau ohne Schatten. January 2015, she participated Carnegie Halls program: The song continues, with Marilyn Horne, Anne Sophie von Otter and Warren Jones. This autumn Hamida will make her debut at the Norwegian National Opera in the role of Micaëla in Carmen.
