Helen Collyer, based in Berlin, read music at Selwyn College in Cambridge, studied piano accompaniment and was Hodgson Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She later continued her training at the National Opera Studio and ENO before joining Opéra national de Paris as young artist.

She is the recipient of numerous prizes as both piano accompanist and repetiteur. She was recently elected Associate of the RAM.

She performs in European venues including The Wigmore Hall, Het Concertgebouw, The Linbury Studio ROH, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bright- on Festival, Palais Garnier, Cité de la Musique, and Théâtre de Champs-Élysées, for the Salz- burg and Baden-Baden festivals, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Mikhailovsky Theatre St. Petersburg and Komische Oper Berlin working regularly with conductors such as Vladimir Jurowski and Sir Simon Rattle. Recent performances include Martinu’s Double Concerto on tour with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, a Schubert recital with baritone Dominik Königer and EnsembleKOM, Der Rosenkavalier with the Berlin Philharmonic, The Rape of Lucretia with Leo Hussein and the LPO at Glyndebourne, and as harpsichordist in Stravinsky`s Rake’s Progress with Sir Andrew Davies at the Edinburgh Festival.

Forthcoming engagements include the coaching of Aribert Reimann’s Melusine, Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, and Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen.
